ILS PRINCIPLES


This course is describes the components, operations and limitation of the Instrument Landing System (ILS) and includes the following;The localizer and glideslope beams both front and back course components;A list of the presentations and indications of localizer and glideslope on the CDI and HSI, the marker beacons, the ILS-DME;The coverage and range of the components to include errors in accuracy, limitations of the ILS and the factors that affect the range and accuracy of the system. Courses are constantly monitored and updated when major changes in authority documentation is released.
