This course describes the Fight Management System use of the descent mode and includes the following:A review of the different descent modes such as speed, path, RTA and manual speed descents; How the early descent mode is entered and controls both speed and path; VNAV descent modes of path and speed descents to include altitude restrictions; and The effects of unforecast winds on the descent mode. Courses are constantly monitored and updated when major changes in authority documentation is released.
